Professor Johnson Presents in Association of Counties' Immigration Webinar

Professor Kevin R. Johnson participated in the California State Association of Counties webinar “Immigration Basics for California Counties: Just the Facts -- Data, Patterns and Trends.”

Pew Research Center Senior Writer and Editor Jens Manuel Krogstad also presented during the webinar, which included a special introduction by Monterey County Supervisor and UC Davis Law alumnus Luis Alejo ’01, CSAC’s second vice president.

Intraschool Negotiations Competition Draws 30 Teams

The King Hall Negotiations team hosted 30 teams of talented first-year UC Davis Law students on March 1 at the 17th annual Intraschool Negotiations Competition.

Professor Joslin Hosts ‘Secret Life of Faculty’ Talk

On Feb. 5, Professor Courtney Joslin  discussed her current work in progress as part of UC Davis Law’s "The Secret Life of Faculty"  series.

The series gives small groups of students opportunities to engage directly with professors about their works in progress, teaching philosophies and career paths. Joslin is one of five faculty members featured in the series in 2024-25.

Faculty Feature: Professor Darien Shanske

 

Professor Darien Shanske is an expert on taxation, local government law, public finance, and political theory. He takes an exceptionally long view of jurisprudence, informed by his scholarship on ancient Athens. In addition to his J.D. from Stanford Law School, he holds a Ph.D. from UC Berkeley in rhetoric, an M.A. from McGill University in philosophy, and a B.A. from Columbia University in philosophy and history.
