Becoming part of the King Hall Outreach Program was one of the best pre-law decisions I ever made. From the group sessions to one-on-one activities with the staff, a plethora of pertinent information demystifying the law school application process was shared while instilling a special type of confidence in students like myself. KHOP covered every essential component of the admissions process that left me in the best position to tackle the challenge of applying to law school. With KHOP, the law school application process became less and less intimidating and more so a wonderful opportunity that ought to be embraced and welcomed. The program helped me realize that I too had what it took to be successful not only in applying to law school but further on in my professional career as well. To be able to participate in the King Hall Outreach Program was an incredible honor and an enriching experience.

KHOP was the first time I ever read a legal case. We were asked to brief the case, and I had no idea what that meant. I am now briefing cases daily in my first semester of law school. Having that exposure during KHOP makes transitioning to this new way of studying a little bit less scary, and more familiar. There is a lot of information to absorb during the few days of KHOP, and it's been very gratifying to see some of it come full circle!

Being a part of the King Hall Outreach Program has unquestionably played a pivotal role in my journey towards law school. KHOP not only introduced me to resources essential for success in law school but also impart a mindset that extends far beyond any specific law school. Through this program, I gained the confidence that I possess the ability to not only gain admission to law school but also thrive beyond it. I envision myself as a future immigration attorney dedicated to serving the immigrant community. The King Hall staff, speakers, and my fellow students within KHOP were incredibly cordial, approachable, and warm-hearted. I am profoundly thankful to KHOP for everything they have provided, and my gratitude knows no bounds.

The King Hall Outreach Program was instrumental in preparing me for the law school application process. As a first-generation law student, the path to law school can seem long and daunting. Not only did KHOP give me much needed exposure into how this process works, but it also prepared me to create a compelling application for admissions which helped me get into one of my top schools. From assisting with my personal narrative development to introducing me to case briefing, KHOP was a truly invaluable resource and one which I would recommend to anyone interested in getting a leg up in the admissions process.

As a first-generation American and first-generation college graduate attending law school felt impossible. I didn't know where to start or if attending law school could be anything more than a dream. KHOP changed my life and set the foundation for the legal career that I am pursuing today. I recommend this program to any student coming from a background such as mine where law school seems far out of reach. This program demystified the application process, provided me confidence when applying as an underrepresented applicant, and situated me to attend my top choice school with several offers and scholarships from other elite schools.
