Study Away At Another Law School

Interested students must contact the Law Registrar and obtain approval of the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs to participate in and receive financial aid for a study away program.  The cost of attendance for study away is determined by the host school and reported to UC Davis on the Visiting Student (Consortium) Agreement.  You are eligible to receive Federal Direct or private loans for study away.

Aid is scheduled to disburse ten (10) days before the start of each term at UC Davis School of Law.  You must submit your completed Visiting Student (Consortium) Agreement and proof of registration at the host school to the Law Financial Aid Office before the start of the term or disbursement of your financial aid may be delayed.

The host school Registrar should confirm enrollment for the study away period in order to defer education loan repayment.

Financial Aid is not available from UC Davis for study away through another law school’s study abroad program.
