Students Compete in State Moot Court Competition
UC Davis law students competed in the Roger J. Traynor Moot Court Competition, the California state moot court competition, that took place on Saturday, April 14, 2007, at UC Berkeley School of Law. The King Hall team, consisting of Carissa Beecham '07, Megan Lane '07, and Matt Wroblewski '07, performed admirably through the first two rounds of the competition.
The team thanks their coaches, Timothy Schooley, supervisor of the law school's appellate advocacy/moot court programs, Bruce Susich ’06, and practice round judges Professors Edward Imwinkelried, Margaret Johns, and Robert Mikos.
The Roger J. Traynor California Moot Court Competition was developed and conducted for nearly 30 years by the California Young Lawyers Association of the State Bar of California. The Witkin Legal Institute and Thomson/West now continues this proud tradition. The Traynor competition focuses on California law using the record drawn from a real case in the California Court of Appeal.
