At UC Davis School of Law, the curriculum is designed to provide a solid foundation of practical knowledge and skills that enable our graduates to pursue careers in whatever area of legal practice they may choose, from public service to business litigation to legal scholarship.
King Hall’s J.D. concentrations and LL.M. concentrations allow students to focus on and demonstrate interest in a specialized area of the law. Graduates with a concentration will earn their degree as well as a transcript notation of the concentration and a concentration certificate document for their professional wall.
Concentration areas include Business Law, Criminal Law and Policy, Environmental Law, Immigration Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Tax Law. J.D. students can also earn distinction in Public Interest Law and Pro Bono Service.
Additional areas of study are available in all aspects of the legal profession, including Health Care and Bioethics, Human Rights and Social Justice Law, International Law and many others.
