Katten is a proud member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), an organization comprised of corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners whose mission is to support a commitment to diversity in the legal profession. Katten’s Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and Washington, DC offices will begin accepting applications on November 8, 2023, for 2024 1L LCLD Summer Associate positions.
We are seeking students who have excellent academic credentials, strong communication, analytical and writing skills, relevant work and leadership experience and possess a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusiveness. Eligible applicants must be enrolled full-time in an ABA-accredited law school with an anticipated graduation date of 2026 at the time of application.
LCLD Scholars will be eligible to receive a stipend of $25,000, paid in two installments, conditioned upon i) receiving and accepting an offer to join the firm as a 2L summer associate, and ii) receiving and accepting an offer to join the firm as an entry-level associate.
Students are encouraged to submit their application as soon as possible, as we have a rolling hiring process and spots will be filled accordingly. If a student’s law school transcript is not available at the time of submission, a follow-up addendum can be sent when the grades are available.
Applications should be submitted to our online application system. Our application system can be found on our law student career page.
