UC Davis Law Well-Represented at Yolo Unity Bar Awards Gala

The Unity Bar of Yolo County honored Dean Kevin R. Johnson, Professor Amagda Pérez ’91 and the UC Davis Law Black Law Students Association at its first awards gala on Nov. 2.

Johnson received the bar association’s Education Award. Pérez, co-director of the Immigration Law Clinic and executive director of the California Rural Legal Assistance Foundation, received the Civil Attorney Award. The Yolo Unity Bar honored UC Davis Law's Black Law Students Association with its Student Organization Award.

California Supreme Court Justice Kelli M. Evans ’94 delivered the keynote address at the event, and Yolo County Superior Court Judge David Rosenberg ’74 was recognized with the bar association’s lifetime achievement award.
