Yolo Unity Bar Awards Gala at the El Macero Country Club
On Nov. 2, I had the pleasure of attending the Yolo Unity Bar Awards Gala at the El Macero Country Club. I was honored to receive the Education Award. King Hall had more of our remarkable representatives at this ceremony, who also received well-deserved accolades.
Congratulations to Professor Amagda Pérez '91, co-director of the UC Davis School of Law Immigration Law Clinic, who was recognized with the Civil Attorney Award.
Congratulations to Damien Cortez '24 who graciously accepted the Student Organization Award on behalf of the Black Law Students Association.
It was a pleasure to see Justice Kelli M. Evans '94 who graced us as the evening’s keynote speaker. Her words resonated and left a lasting impression on all of us.
Overall, the evening was a grand celebration, a testament to the immense greatness unfolding in our community.
