Intellectual Property and Social Justice
"Intellectual Property and Social Justice," a symposium presented by the UC Davis Law Review on Friday, March 10, will explore intellectual property's broadening impact in society.
"While scholars have traditionally viewed intellectual property rights from the narrow lens of economic incentives for creation, the area of law has a wider role in society," says Madhavi Sunder, a professor in the School of Law and faculty adviser to the symposium.
The symposium will draw together many of the leading intellectual property scholars in the country to delve into the diverse areas where intellectual property has a role. Morning sessions will include workshops on scholarly papers, and the afternoon plenary session will feature debate among scholars, activists and the public.
For more information, including a complete list of panels and speakers, visit the symposium's Web site.
