UC Davis School of Law’s strong showing in numerous rankings represents King Hall’s excellence.

Top 20 in U.S.: The 2023 QS World University Rankings by Subject place UC Davis Law in the top 20 U.S. law schools.

Student and Faculty Diversity: Princeton Review’s "Best Law Schools 2023" placed UC Davis Law No. 1 for "Greatest Resources for Women" and No. 10 "Best Quality of Life." UC Davis School of Law placed No. 1 for students and No. 3 for faculty in a ranking of women's historical representation in the nation’s law schools.

Faculty Quality Ranking: The UC Davis Law faculty was also rated No. 18 in the nation in the most recent comprehensive quality assessment undertaken by Brian Leiter, a University of Chicago law professor. Leiter's periodic "top 50 law faculties in scholarly impact" list rates productivity and influence and often is regarded as the most systematic evaluation of American law school quality.

Racial Justice Recognition: UC Davis Law ranks No. 3 in the United States - and No. 1 in California - for top schools for racial justice according to a 2022 ranking in preLaw Magazine.

A Top Law School for Public Interest: PreLaw Magazine ranked UC Davis Law No. 4 in the nation on its 2021 list of the top 25 universities for public interest law.
