The UC Davis Law faculty was also rated No. 18 in the nation in the most recent comprehensive quality assessment undertaken by Brian Leiter, a University of Chicago law professor. Leiter's periodic "top 50 law faculties in scholarly impact" list rates productivity and influence and often is regarded as the most systematic evaluation of American law school quality.

Princeton Review’s "Best Law Schools 2025" placed UC Davis Law No. 1 in "Greatest Resources for Women" and No. 3 in "Greatest Resources for Minority Students."
