UC Davis Law Students Invited to Prestigious Moot Court Competition
UC Davis School of Law's Appellate Advocacy team received a prized invitation to the Moot Court National Championship at the University of Houston Law Center. Invitations were extended only to the top 16 appellate and advocacy programs in the country as determined by performance in other moot court competitions, with UC Davis Law's program placing second. In 2008, UC Davis moot court teams won two national competitions, one focusing on sexual orientation and gender identity law and the other on immigration law. The inaugural competition for the Moot Court National Championship at the Houston Law Center will take place from January 7–10, 2009.
