MALDEF awards scholarships to Joana Peraza Lizarraga '21, Andrea Reyes '22

Two UC Davis School of Law students are among 10 honorees nationwide to receive 2019-20 Law School Scholarships from the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF).

Joana Peraza Lizarraga ‘21 worked at King Hall’s Immigration Law Clinic and interned with California Rural Legal Assistance Foundation (CRLAF). After graduation, she plans to return to CRLAF and work in its immigration department.

Andrea Reyes ‘22 is a board member of the Latinx Law Students Association and the First-Generation Advocates Board. She works in the Immigration Law Clinic, is a student scholar for the Aoki Center and also works as a research assistant for Dean Kevin Johnson.
