Martinez '08 Publishes Civil Rights Act Paper

A Note by Sarah Martinez '08, "Justice for None: The Fourth Circuit's Decision in Denny v. Elizabeth Arden Salons, Inc. undermines the Civil Rights Act of 1964," was published in the fall 2007 issue of The Scholar: St. Mary's Law Review on Minority Issues.  

The Note argues that the Fourth Circuit's narrow interpretation of the Civil Rights Act's public accommodations provisions in the Denny v. Elizabeth Arden Salons, Inc. decision wrongly constricts the Act's broad remedial purpose.
