Lopez '08 and Rojas '08 Serve as Chairs of the National Latino/a Law Students Association
Cassandra Lopez '08 completed service as chair of the National Latino/a Law Students Association (NLLSA). Kathleen Rojas '08 was elected as incoming chair at the annual NLLSA meeting at the University of Wisconsin in October 2007.
NLLSA is engaged in a variety of activities that empower Latina/o law students. Each year they organize the National Latina/o Law Students Association Conference (NLLSAC) at a different law school in the county. The NLLSAC is an opportunity for Latina/o law students to come together and focus on issues affecting students and their communities, including immigration, gender equality, diversity in admissions (both undergraduate and graduate), law student debt, and academic support for Latina/o students.
