KHLF Awards Record Number of Summer Grants
The King Hall Legal Foundation (KHLF) recently announced a record 15 Public Interest Summer Grants for students at the UC Davis School of Law. The grants, totaling more than $56,000, will provide funding of up to $4,000 to qualifying first and second year law students who serve the legal needs of disadvantaged populations and underrepresented interests.
According to Sarah Jane Fischer '08, one of KHLF's co-chairs, King Hall students continue to show incredible dedication to public interest law. "KHLF received a record number of grant applications and every application was deserving of funding, making it nearly impossible for our grant selection committee to narrow it down to 15 projects. This year's commitment to working in the public interest sector was truly inspirational."
