John Tan '10, Johanna Carney '11 Chosen for ABA 14th Circuit Board
John Tan '10 and Johanna Carney '11 have been selected to serve on the American Bar Association Student Division's 14th Circuit Executive Board. Tan has been selected as the 14th Circuit's Lt. Governor of Diversity Programs, while Carney will be Executive Lt. Governor, Sacramento Region.
Tan and Carney will join Circuit Governor Richard Manhattan of UNLV's Boyd School of Law in representing the students of the ABA's 14th Circuit, which includes King Hall and eight other law schools in Northern California and Nevada. As Lt. Governor of Diversity Programs, Tan will work with the Circuit Governor in leading and promoting diversity initiatives within the circuit, serving as liaison to school organizations and helping to coordinate the March 2 Diversity Day events. As Executive Lt. Governor, Carney will serve as liaison between the Circuit Governor and Lt. Governors and provide project coordination support.
