Civil Rights Clinic report finds Yuba County not in compliance with agreement

A monitoring report by the Civil Rights Clinic and the law firm of Rosen Bien Galvan & Grunfeld – plaintiffs’ counsel in Hedrick v. Grant – concluded that Yuba County is not in compliance with multiple provisions of the amended consent decree approved by United States Magistrate Judge Edmund F. Brennan in early 2019.

The report is drawn from interviews conducted from August 2019-March 2020. Civil Rights Clinic students Lyla Bugara ’20, Kiyoshi Din ’21 and Ameil Kenkare ’21 took the lead in conducting interviews and reviewing documents for the report. Read the report
