Ms. Anna Valiente and Ms. Jannah Manansala appeared on behalf of the People while the defendant was represented by Mr. Faisal Dittu and Mr. Edward Vierra-Ducey. The Honorable Alberta Chew and Mr. Jeffrey Kravitz, Esq., presided. Judge Chew and Mr. Kravitz commented that they were very impressed by both teams.
Congratulations to Faisal Dittu and Edward Vierra-Ducey for winning the Carr Competition. Fourteen teams entered the Carr competition this year, the largest field in the history of the tournament. Congratulations as well to Anna Valiente and Jannah Manansala. They not only performed well in the final round, they also prevailed in two preliminary trials.
The Trial Practice Honors Board would like to thank all the judges, attorneys, and students who helped score, advise, and testify at the trials. They would also like to thank Professor Imwinkelried for his guidance, and Ms. Laurie Loving for her amazing ability to juggle hundreds of things at the same time. Thanks also go to all the student teams that competed in the tournament. Their participation made this year's competition a great success.
