CA Assembly Member Dave Jones to Speak at King Hall
La Raza Law Students Association is sponsoring a noontime event on January 25 with CA Assembly Member Dave Jones as the speaker. Jones was elected to represent the 9th District in the California State Assembly in 2004.
Prior to his election, Jones served as a Sacramento City Councilmember for five and a half years where he was a stalwart advocate for progressive policies. Jones also worked for six years as a legal aid attorney with Legal Services of Northern California, providing free legal assistance to the poor. In 1995 Dave was one of only 13 Americans awarded the prestigious and competitive White House Fellowship, and he served in the Clinton Administration for three years as Counsel to United States Attorney General Janet Reno.
