Bryce Newell '10 Attends International Law Weekend-West
On March 6-7, 2009, UC Davis School of Law student Bryce Newell '10 attended International Law Weekend-West in Salem, Oregon, with the generous support of the school's administration. The conference, hosted by the American Branch of the International Law Association, was the fifth biannual ILA-West conference and was held at Willamette University College of Law. The International Law Association was established in 1873 and is currently a preeminent international non-governmental organization involved in developing and restating international law. The association is composed of 45 national branches, including the American Branch.
The ILA-West conference brought together distinguished academics, practitioners, and students from all over North America to discuss topics ranging from refugee law to world trade and intellectual property. Panelists included UC Davis School of Law's own Professor Andrea Bjorklund, who discussed recent developments and the future of NAFTA.
