Bianca Dueñas '16 Awarded Equal Justice Works Fellowship

Bianca Dueñas '16 has been selected for an Equal Justice Works fellowship, sponsored by the Ottinger Foundation.  Dueñas, a child of farmworker parents who grew up in the Lodi, California, will work to provide no-cost legal services, training, and education to build capacity and empowerment among Lodi area farmworkers, especially women who are more vulnerable to sexual abuse while in the fields. The Equal Justice Works award is not the first prestigious fellowship for Dueñas, who last summer worked as a Dan Bradley fellow for the Legal Aid Association of California.
