Alejandra Gutierrez '21, Ameil Kenkare '21 Named Equal Justice Works Fellows

Two members of the UC Davis School of Law Class of 2021, Alejandra Gutierrez and Ameil Kenkare, have been named Equal Justice Works Fellows for 2021.

Gutierrez will be hosted by the National Center for Youth Law for work in child/youth criminal justice reform. Her service location is Oakland, and her Equal Justice Works Fellowship is sponsored by The Morrison & Foerster Foundation.

Ameil Kenkare will focus on exclusionary discipline policies in education/special education in Chicago. He is hosted by the Chicago Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights, and his Equal Justice Works Fellowship is co-sponsored by AbbVie and Kirkland & Ellis.

Equal Justice Works is a nonprofit organization that brings together an extensive network of law students, lawyers, legal services organizations and supporters to promote a lifelong commitment to public service and equal justice.
