Alice M. Kyureghian '14 Wins U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit Case

On June 9, Alice M. Kyureghian '14 argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit on behalf of the plaintiffs-appellants in Staggs v. Doctors Hospital of Manteca. Seventeen days later a Ninth Circuit panel upheld her appeal, ruling in favor of the surviving family members of a California prison inmate who suffered from liver cancer and died from internal bleeding following a biopsy procedure.

King Hall Students Argue Before U.S. Appellate Court

The strength of the UC Davis School of Law clinical programs has been and will continue to be on display this fall as King Hall students make arguments before the Ninth U.S. Court of Appeal, the highest federal appeals court in the Western states, on three separate occasions as part of their work with the King Hall clinics.
