Social Justice Law Review Publishes Transcript of Event Honoring Justice Reynoso
The UC Davis Social Justice Law Review has published a transcript of the “Civil Rights Legacy of Justice Cruz Reynoso” event held at UC Davis Law in October 2021. Read the transcript.
Dean Kevin R. Johnson introduced the event, which was moderated by Professor Raquel Aldana. The panelists were: Professor Amagda Pérez, co-director of the Immigration Law Clinic and executive director of the California Rural Legal Assistance Foundation; José Padilla, executive director, California Rural Legal Assistance, Inc., and Thomas Saenz, president and general counsel, Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund.
Reynoso, a UC Davis Law professor emeritus and the first Latino justice on the California Supreme Court, died in May 2021 at age 90.
