Professor Shestowsky presents at AALS works-in-progress conference
Professor Donna Shestowsky participated in the annual Association of American Law Schools’ Dispute Resolution Section Works-in-Progress Conference, held Oct. 4-6 at University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.
The conference is considered the standard-bearer of scholarly conferences in dispute resolution. Shestowsky presented her new longitudinal findings regarding how state court litigants assess procedures at the start and end of their cases.
Donna Shestowsky, who has both a law degree and a Ph.D. in psychology, is director of Lawyering Skills Education, professor of law, and Martin Luther King, Jr. research scholar at UC Davis School of Law. She teaches Criminal Law, Negotiation Strategy, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and a seminar in Legal Psychology. She was the 2007 recipient of the Law School's Distinguished Teaching Award.
