Professor Frank discusses climate change litigation in S.F. talk
On Dec. 6, Professor of Environmental Practice Rick Frank spoke to the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Environmental Law Section.
In his presentation, “Current Developments in Climate Change Litigation,” Frank focused on common law theories—such as nuisance law and the public trust doctrine—currently being advanced by local governments and private litigants against the U.S. government and major energy companies in pursuit of the plaintiffs’ climate change-related objectives.
Richard M. Frank '74 is a leader in the field of environmental law, Professor of Environmental Practice and the founding director of the California Environmental Law and Policy Center at UC Davis School of Law.
