Nora Pasin '16 Wins Victory for Immigration Clinic Client

Nora Pasin '16 successfully represented a teenaged client of the UC Davis School of Law Immigration Law Clinic in a recent Immigration Court bond hearing. Pasin prepared two witnesses for the hearing and, working in collaboration with Beatriz Torres of Legal Services for Children, obtained letters of support from family and social workers. In the hearing, the judge set bond at $5,000 and the client was reunited with his mother after months of separation.  Working with Carmel Imani '16, Pasin also helped the client to file a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) application, which is pending.
