Lambda Law Students Association Chair Kate Doty '08 Received the 2007 Adams Award for Leadership in a Student Organization. The award is given by the Student Programs & Activities Center at UC Davis for outstanding leadership of a student organization and its influence on the university and the broader community.
"Doty's hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm has benefited all of us at Lambda and in the wider King Hall and Davis community," says Kim Lucia, Lambda chair-elect.
The King Hall Lambda Law Students Association is composed of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) and allied students, faculty and staff at UC Davis School of Law. Lambda's mission is community, education, and activism. To that end, Lambda sponsors events that raise awareness of LGBT legal issues on campus and in the community. The group also provides a supportive space for LGBT students at King Hall through academic and professional support programs and a variety of social opportunities. Lambda additionally strives to attract and retain LGBT law students.
