Kylie Chan '23 Honored as Outstanding Externship Student from King Hall

Congratulations to Kylie Chan ’23, recipient of the annual Clinical Legal Education Association award for outstanding UC Davis School of Law externship student. 

Each year, a school may nominate an externship and/or clinical student for the CLEA award; Chan joins a cohort of CLEA award winning externship students from around the country. Director of Externships Dena Bauman nominated Chan in recognition of Chan’s exceptional performance during a yearlong externship with the Sacramento District Attorney’s office and her work in the externship seminar and small section. 

Supervising Deputy District Attorney Sheri Greco commented about Chan: “Kylie has consistently sought out challenging assignments, particularly in-court appearance, that would contribute to her professional growth. The attorneys with whom she has worked directly have noted her high level of professionalism, her eagerness to take and act on feedback, and her increasing confidence in her work. She has been an outstanding and valuable extern.”
