King Hall Negotiations Team Hosts Intra-school Competition

The King Hall Negotiations Team hosted the fifth annual Intra-school Negotiations Competition on October 1.  The competition, held at King Hall, brought 41 judges from across the state (including superior court judges, lawyers, mediators, business professionals and professors) and 76 student competitors (all King Hall students).

Students competed--in teams of two--in two rounds of negotiations.  In each round, students negotiated a different legal problem and were evaluated by either two or three competition judges.  This year's topic, provided by the American Bar Association, was real estate.  After the two rounds, the top six teams were announced and they competed in the afternoon.

Winners of the competition are: Shannon Thomson'13 and Alexander Rich '13; Kyle Junginger '14 and Sean Newland '14; and Sumair Khan ‘13 and Uzair Saleem '13.  These three teams have earned the opportunity to represent King Hall at the American Bar Association's Negotiations Competition, to be held at the Santa Clara School of Law in November.
