King Hall Legal Foundation Seeks Nominations for its Public Interest Alumnae/i Award

Each year, at the King Hall Legal Foundation's Annual Spring Auction, the Foundation's board recognizes and honors one alumna or alumnus who embodies the principles and values of the King Hall Legal Foundation (KHLF). KHLF strives to use the legal system to eliminate prejudice and discrimination of all forms, lessen sickness, poverty, and crime, increase education and economic opportunities among low-income communities, and focus community-wide attention on environmental concerns. The Foundation raises money to award annual summer grants to UC Davis School of Law students working for the public interest. Last year KHLF awarded thirteen grants to King Hall law students.

If you know an alumni or alumnae of King Hall that embodies the principles of KHLF, we sincerely hope you will nominate him/her for the 2006 KHLF Alumnae/i Award. Past recipients include Gary W. Rhoades, 2005 award winner, and Rogielo Villagrana, 2004 award winner. Nominations should be sent by e-mail to [email protected] or by mail to KHLF, attn: Katherine Robb, UC Davis School of Law, 400 Mrak Hall Drive, Davis, CA 95616. All nominations should include the individual's name, graduation year, and a brief summary of their work history and achievements. Nominations must be received by 12 pm (PST) on February 27, 2006, to be considered for the award.
