Keller '12, Morris '11, Nguyen '11 Score High at Traynor Moot Court Competition

Kurtis Keller '12, Erika Morris '11, and Richard Nguyen '11 represented King Hall at California's moot court state championship, the Roger J. Traynor California Appellate Moot Court Competition. The competition was held on April 2-3 at the University of San Francisco and featured 18 teams.

King Hall outscored the two teams it faced in the preliminary rounds. In the first round, Nguyen earned a score of 89.33, while Keller scored an 83.33. In the second round, Keller scored an 87.33 and Morris earned a score of 86.67. Keller, Morris and Nguyen also received strong praise and helpful feedback by Associate Justice Kathleen Banke and experienced appellate lawyers. Despite their high scores, the King Hall competitors were not among the two teams that moved onto the final round.
