Dean Johnson to Receive Yolo Unity Bar's Education Award

The Unity Bar of Yolo County will honor Dean Kevin R. Johnson with its first Education Award at the association’s gala in November. The award will recognize Johnson’s “profound impact” on the local legal community.

In June, UC Davis Law hosted the new bar association’s opening event, a reception in the King Hall courtyard.

Kevin R. Johnson is the law school’s dean, Mabie-Apallas Professor of Public Interest Law and professor of Chicana/o studies at UC Davis. He is an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of immigration law and policy, refugee law, and civil rights.
