Congressman Mike Thompson Visits Campus

Congressman Mike Thompson (D-St. Helena) talked with students and staff at the Memorial Union on February 23. The event was hosted by ASUCD, in conjunction with the UCD Government Affairs Office and pro-Israel undergraduate students. Students presented Thompson with a petition on Iran - with over 200 signatures from students (law & undergrad). Students also spoke with Thompson about the importance of a strong US-Israel relationship.

Jewish Law Student Association (JLSA) integrates the social, religious, and political aspects of Jewish culture in providing a variety of programs at King Hall. JLSA organizes and sponsors social events, political discussions, and holiday celebrations. The group is comprised of law students committed to sharing the cultural aspects of Judaism and increasing awareness of issues facing Jews today. JLSA is affiliated with the local chapter of Hillel and the National Jewish Law Students Network.
