S.F. Chronicle Quotes Professor Johnson on ICE Protesters' Rights

Professor Kevin R. Johnson spoke to the San Francisco Chronicle for a Jan. 11 story headlined “Can ICE arrest you? What the law says about agents’ actions and protester rights.”

The story addresses the rights of people who are confronted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers amid growing concerns following the shooting death of Renee Nicole Good on Jan. 7 in Minneapolis.

The story affirms that it is legal to film ICE agents on the street. “Some of the videos can be effective in showing abuses,” Johnson told the Chronicle.
