Today I received excellent news! Assemblywoman Esmeralda Soria '11 is once again on the ballot for the March primary election and is ready to continue building a stronger Central Valley. It's wonderful to see our alumni in action!

Final exams are coming to an end this week. We are so proud of our 1L students for working so diligently this semester. Stop by the courtyard before you leave for winter break and enjoy some fresh tamales with your peers!

As we near the end of the year and look ahead to 2024, we are grateful for the spirit of collaboration and compassion that is rooted in our community. It informs our daily work and propels our research, teaching and service mission to be even greater.

Now more than ever, this holiday season reminds us to create moments of cheer with our loved ones. It’s also a time to reach out to those who may need comfort or care.

Earlier this week I received a newsletter from Ali Goff '12, extending holiday wishes. She is the founder of Goff Legal, PC, an estate planning law firm. It's so wonderful to see our alums achieving great things in their legal career!

This week, I visited an alumni lunch at Mayahuel restaurant in downtown Sacramento. An amazing group of alums were there, including Michael Mills '97, Steve Boutin '72, and Alumni Association Board President Errol Dauis '11. A group of admitted students got to learn about UC Davis School of Law from the King Hall faithful.
