Congratulations on completing the fall 2020 semester. While times have been most challenging, your goodwill and patience have made the difference.  Put simply, the King Hall community response has been nothing less than remarkable.  Thanks for adapting to rapidly changing circumstances while maintaining your unique school spirit and commitment to justice for all.

I am grateful to the entire King Hall community:

·        our  students exemplify the necessary resilience, patience, and empathy and support for all;

·        our  faculty embraced the transition to online instruction and demonstrated incredible dedication to excellent  teaching under new and different circumstances;

·        our  staff have worked together to provide innovative services and programs; and

·        our  alumni gave their time and support to help our students.

As you know, the pandemic requires us to begin classes remotely in January.  We continue to work to provide a first-class learning experience, and welcome ideas on improvements. We also will strive to maintain our vibrant community, including events. We hope you can attend the continuation of our Racial Justice Speaker Series on Jan. 12, with Professor Lisa Fairfax (George Washington). Please join us for our Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service and Celebration on Monday, Jan. 18, with in-person and virtual options.

With a vaccine on the horizon, we are looking optimistically to 2021 and possible in-person instruction in the fall (sooner, if public health conditions change).  Let’s all think positively as we plan for a better future.

My sincere thanks go out to each and every one of you. Please get the rest, relaxation, and peace that you deserve. Happy holidays to you and your family!
