King Hall alum Saul Garcia '94 was sworn in as judge on the Stanislaus County Superior Court. Previously Garcia was a supervising deputy public defender in San Joaquin County. Saul Garcia will be a great judge!

This week I received a signed card from the King Hall Outreach Program (KHOP) 2024 Winter Session participants. It was a pleasure meeting them and discussing their interest in law. I hope they choose to attend our exceptional law school!

Last week, Professor Vik Amar sat with me courtside at the UC Davis/Long Beach State men's basketball game. Thanks to Athletic Director Rocko DeLuca for the great seats.

On President's Day weekend, members of the Schwartz/Levi Inn of Court made dinner for 100 at Fourth & Hope in Woodland. It was a great group, with Superior Court of Yolo County Judge Dan Maguire, who taught a popular intellectual property class for many years at the law school. He made the main course, a wonderful pasta in red sauce. It was served with salad, bread, tangerines, chocolate chip cookies, and drinks.
