Michael R. Williams '97 is a partner in the newly formed Connor, Fletcher & Williams LLP. The firm specializes in business and real estate litigation.
Williams practices complex business litigation at both the trial and appellate court levels. He has handled cases in state and federal court involving a wide array of legal issues, including commercial contract disputes, business torts, professional negligence, employment discrimination, and commercial insurance recovery. His clients have included Fortune 500 companies, commercial and residential real estate developers, private equity funds, major law firms, and entrepreneurs. In both 2005 and 2006, Mike was voted by his peers as a "rising star" among Southern California lawyers, in a survey conducted by Los Angeles Magazine.
Williams presently serves as the Chair of the Business Litigation Section of the Orange County Bar Association, and serves on the Boards of Directors of both the Orange County Public Law Center and University of California, Davis School of Law Alumni Association.
Williams was an Executive Editor of the UC Davis Law Review and was admitted to the Order of the Coif. Prior to joining Connor, Fletcher & Williams, Mike practiced in the litigation group of Irell & Manella LLP.
