At University of Virginia, Dean Johnson Discusses 'Immigration Control as Racial Control'

Dean Kevin R. Johnson spoke on Aug. 11 at the University of Virginia School of Law’s 33rd Sokol Colloquium on International Law. The colloquium focused on comparative immigration law.

Johnson’s topic was “Immigration Control as Racial Control: A Consistent Global Phenomenon.”

Kevin R. Johnson is the law school’s dean, Mabie-Apallas Professor of Public Interest Law and professor of Chicana/o studies at UC Davis. He is an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of immigration law and policy, refugee law, and civil rights.
