UC Davis Law Ranks No. 3 in U.S., No. 1 in State as a 'Top School for Racial Justice'

PreLaw Magazine has ranked UC Davis School of Law No. 3 in the United States and No. 1 in California on its fall 2022 “Top Schools for Racial Justice” list. UC Davis occupied the same positions in the magazine’s racial justice-focused ranking in 2020.

UC Davis Law’s groundbreaking Racial Justice Speaker Series, now in its third year, draws leading scholars to explore systemic racism as it affects all communities of color and areas of law.

Housed in Martin Luther King Jr. Hall and long recognized for its rare majority-minority faculty and emphasis on diversity, equity and inclusion, UC Davis ranked first in California in a 2022 Access and Equity Ranking of all public law schools.  A recent study of the historical representation of women in U.S. law schools placed Davis at No. 1 for students and No. 3 for faculty.

Princeton Review’s “Best Law Schools, 2022” rankings recognized UC Davis Law at No. 2 in resources for women, and No. 5 for faculty diversity.
