Trump Could Further Curtail Abortion Access if Elected, Professor Ziegler Writes in N.Y. Times

In a Jan. 29 New York Times opinion piece headlined “How Trump Could Institute a Backdoor Abortion Ban,” Professor Mary Ziegler writes that the 2024 election will be a referendum on whether voters will determine the future of reproductive rights, or whether “conservatives in the executive branch will decide for them.”

Mary Ziegler is an expert on the law, history, and politics of reproduction, health care, and conservatism in the United States from 1945 to the present. She is one of the world’s leading historians of the U.S. abortion debate.
