Steinberg '84 Named Among 50 Most Powerful People in the Sacramento Region

Assemblyman Darrell Steinberg '84 was named by Sacramento Magazine as one of the Sacramento regions most powerful people. Steinberg served six years in the California Assembly and is now running for State Senator in 2006. Sacramento Magazine called Steinberg one of those political rarities: an elected official whos equally respected by his opponents and admirers. Steinberg was also noted as a fierce advocate for mental health and other social service programs (he co-authored Prop. 63), education, consumer protection, public safety, the environment, and cultural diversity.
