Soong '95 Partner at Greenberg Traurig

Greenberg Traurig added James Soong '95 as a partner. Soong, who was previously with McDermott, Will & Emery, is a member of the intellectual property practice and focuses on intellectual property litigation and strategic counseling. He has extensive experience representing clients in all aspects of litigation before the federal district courts and International Trade Commission. Pro bono is an important component of Soong's practice. He was a member of the firm-wide Pro Bono and Community Service Committee of his prior law firm. More recently, he received a Certificate of Recognition from the Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County for successfully protecting the rights of a senior citizen under the California elder financial abuse statute in pro bono litigation.While attending law school, Soong was editor of the UC Davis Law Review. He also served as an extern clerk for the Honorable Edward J. Garcia, United States District Court for the Eastern District of California.
