Sister Simone Campbell '77 Visits UC Davis

On Feb. 22, Sister Simon Campbell '77 returned to UC Davis to speak with the King Hall community and was a featured guest as part of the Chancellor's Colloquium.
Campbell received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, our nation’s highest civilian honor, at the White House in July in recognition of her decades-long commitment to social justice activism.
Campbell has worked tirelessly to fight for racial and economic justice, the Affordable Care Act, immigration reform and other causes. She was the executive director of NETWORK Lobby for Catholic Social Justice for 17 years and was instrumental in organizing “Nuns on the Bus” where nuns travel across the country advocating for federal policies.
In 2019, Campbell received the law school's Distinguished Alumna Award.
