Senior Associate Dean Afsharipour Selected as European Corporate Governance Institute Research Member

The European Corporate Governance Institute has selected Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Afra Afsharipour as a research member.

In a Jan. 13 news release, the ECGI noted that its 56 new research members, drawn from Europe, the United Kingdom, the Middle East, Asia and North America, “were admitted on the quality of their academic work in the field of corporate governance.” They will be eligible to publish their scholarship on corporate governance in the ECGI Working Paper Series.

Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Professor Afra Afsharipour’s areas of research include comparative corporate law and governance, mergers and acquisitions, and transactional law.  Her scholarship has appeared in numerous law reviews, including the Columbia Law Review, the Minnesota Law Review, the Vanderbilt Law Review, and the UC Davis Law Review.
