Professors Elmendorf and Sunder Present at Stanford-Yale Junior Faculty Forum
Professors Christopher Elmendorf and Madhavi Sunder are presenting papers in the upcoming Stanford-Yale Junior Faculty Forum June 2-3, 2006, at Yale Law School. Founded in 1999, the forum provides young scholars with opportunities to discuss their work and to develop professional relationships with more senior colleagues. The forum, in turn, also allows senior faculty to develop ties with a new generation of scholars. Each year, the forum invites junior law teachers from across the country to submit unpublished papers for blind evaluation. Eight to 10 papers are selected for presentation, discussion, and critique at the forum. Senior scholars from a number of top law schools comment both on the ideas presented in the papers and the papers as scholarship.
The forum is offered in alternating years on the Stanford and Yale campuses, with the Stanford forums focusing on private law and dispute resolution, and the Yale forums on public law and the humanities.
In past years, UC Davis professors Anupam Chander, Thomas Joo, Lisa Pruitt, and Tobias Wolff had papers selected.
