Professor Tang Writes in Politico Magazine of High Court's 'Frightening Degree of Certainty'
In an Aug. 30 Politico Magazine opinion piece, Professor Aaron Tang writes that today’s U.S. Supreme Court justices “possess a frightening degree of certainty that they alone can answer society’s most pressing problems with just the right lawyerly argument.'
Tang has appeared in the national media often in recent weeks in connection to his new book, Supreme Hubris: How Overconfidence is Destroying the Court – And How We Can Fix It (Yale University Press). On Sept. 18, Tang will speak at a UC Davis Law event celebrating the book’s release.
Aaron Tang is a constitutional law professor, frequent Supreme Court commentator, and the author of Supreme Hubris: How Overconfidence is Destroying the Court – And How We Can Fix It. He is a former law clerk to Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor.
