Professor Lewis Comments on Politically Active Nonprofit Corporations for Sacramento Bee

Professor Evelyn Lewis commented for the Sacramento Bee on the tax-exempt status of politically active nonprofit corporations, known by the Internal Revenue Service code section governing them, 510 (c) (4).  The article focuses on the activities of the nonprofit Americans for Tax Reform and its president, anti-tax activist Grover Norquist.

"We are subsidizing these organizations," Professor Lewis said.

Evelyn A. Lewis is a Professor of Law at UC Davis School of Law and a legal scholar whose interests include Business Planning, Property (Including Property Theory), Nonprofit Organizations, Trusts, Wills, and Estate Planning.
