Professor Carlton F.W. Larson’s expertise on constitutional law, including the law of treason, has made him an in-demand guest for news shows and podcasts in recent weeks. This includes an appearance on PBS’ “The Open Mind” for an episode titled “A Republic, If the Supreme Court Says So” in mid-December. Listen to the podcast.

Carlton Larson's research interests focus on constitutional law and legal history. One of the nation’s leading authorities on the law of treason, Professor Larson is the author of the ABA Silver Gavel Award finalist book The Trials of Allegiance: Treason, Juries, and the American Revolution (Oxford University Press). His new book, On Treason: A Citizen’s Guide to the Law (Ecco/HarperCollins), was published in September.
